What We Do
Conferences@UVA is a service of the University of Virginia provided to planners both within the University community and from outside organizations. We offer support and assistance to those looking to host multi-day meetings, camps, or conferences at the University of Virginia.
Whether you're an administrator seeking housing and dining for your on-Grounds camp this summer, or a faculty member arranging an academic synposium at the University, we're here to help! Our experienced team of planners are available to walk you through the details, from determining accommodations to reserving meeting space, lining up parking or special logistics related to your event.
Our mission is to be an invaluable resource to clients, guests, and the event planning community by offering our experience and knowledge of the University to facilitate the planning process. We strive to ensure the success of our clients’ events and to provide the best possible experience to our on-Grounds guests.
ACCED-I Certified One-Stop Shop
Conference and event organizers now have the added assurance that Conferences@UVA is One-Stop Shop Certified. This recently awarded certification confirms that meeting planners will have one point of contact for all services, one all-encompassing contract, and one itemized bill at the conclusion of the event or conference. The certification is provided through the Association of Collegiate Conference and Event Directors-International (ACCED-I). ACCED-I is the only professional association dedicated to collegiate conferences and events. The certification is valid for five years, with self-certification required every year.
